Learning on Display associates will analyze your district or campus data to craft a curriculum and assessment system that will help your students become assessment capable and aware of where they need to grow and learn. Teachers will be able to use the data with ease as they plan interventions and accelerated responses. The assessment system promises to uncover the underlying causes for performance in specific reading and writing standards.
Do students use grades and feedback to writing? With this initiative, students and teachers will learn cutting edge research based methods to give feedback that changes the quality of student writing.
Learning on Display associates will evaluate a set of student papers (standardized or classroom assignments) and give feedback to individual learners with:
specific areas to address,
concrete strategies and approaches for revision,
and suggestions for movement toward self-regulation and evaluation
Once individual feedback has been given, specific guidance will be provided on next steps for whole class instruction, small group acceleration, and small group remediation.
In the final phase, teachers will meet with consultants to learn how to give this kind of feedback and develop a response for the next assignment. Support is available for ELA and content area coursework for grades K-12.
